Top Ten Tuesday – Book Titles that Would Make Great Song Titles

Good morning! It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday and this week’s prompt is all about book titles that would make great song titles! I ran down my Goodreads shelves and picked out ten titles that would make for songs I’d listen to! I’ve even suggested the type of song I think it would be!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Book Titles that Would Make Great Song Titles

All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban – I’m thinking back to my teen years now and imagining this as some sort of pop-punk-esque track by someone like The All American Rejects

Becoming by Michelle Obama – This one I’m seeing as some sort of empowering anthem talking about someone’s transition to a fierce powerful woman!

Call It What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer – I’m picturing Paloma Faith singing some quirky sounding ballad about a couple where one of the pair isn’t quite so keen to

The Exact Opposite Of Okay by Laura Steven – I’m thinking this is some sort of fierce sounding R&B track, a we’re through and what you’ve done isn’t okay type track rather than a sad song… Think Comeback by Ella Eyre for the vibe I’m going with here…

The Gathering Dark by James Oswald – This one is making me think of an album track by The Killers, not quite the anthem of Mr Brightside or Somebody Told Me but a solid track nonetheless!

The Last Summer Of Us by Maggie Harcourt – If this doesn’t scream the title of Adele’s next power ballad to anyone else I don’t know what to say!

One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus – I’m thinking Taylor Swift for this one… An extra track on the Reputation album with a very clear slant that she’s not the one who’s lying…

Rules For Being A Girl by Candace Bushnell and Katie Cotugno – I’m picturing this as a track with a snarky title, think of an edgier version of Taylor Swift’s The Man

SING (Like No One’s Listening) by Vanessa Jones – I think this has to be a bit of a break up anthem style track, think having your friends round and singing along to this track by Little Mix….

You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson – This just has anthem belted out by Beyoncé written all over it!

Do any of these sound like songs you’d look up on Spotify? Let me know in the comments!

I will forever think of the Taylor Swift song when I see this book title (though I still haven’t read this one!), and The Last Summer of Us sounds and looks like a great summer jam kind of song title. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week. Appreciate this, Sarah!
