It’s time to move another letter down the alphabet for The ABC Book Challenge!
Every couple of weeks I’ll be sharing at least one memorable book with a title beginning with the letter of the week, and one (or more) books currently on my TBR.
I’ll be ignoring any As etc at the beginning of titles

The ABC Book Challenge – N
A Memorable Book…

Nothing Ever Happens Here by Sarah Hagger-Holt
About the book
“This is Littlehaven. Nothing ever happens here. Until the spotlight hits my family.”
Izzy’s family is under the spotlight when her dad comes out as Danielle, a trans woman. Izzy is terrified her family will be torn apart. Will she lose her dad? Will her parents break up? And what will people at school say? Izzy’s always been shy, but now all eyes are on her. Can she face her fears, find her voice and stand up for what’s right?
There were a couple of options for this one, including both books in James Oswald’s Constance Fairchild series. I’ve gone with Nothing Ever Happens Here as I really loved it when I read it earlier this year and I think there’s a really important message being told here

A Book On My TBR…

Nine by Zach Hines
About the book
In an alternate world startlingly close to our own, humans have nine lives—and they can’t wait to burn straight through them.
As you shed lives, you shed your awkward phases: one death is equal to one physical and mental upgrade. Julian’s friends are obsessed with the idea of burning lives, but Julian is determined to stay on his first for as long as he can. His mother, the ultimate cautionary tale, burned through her first eight in just a few years, and Julian has no intention of succumbing to the debilitating rebirth sickness that she inflicted on herself.
But the regime has death incentives aimed at controlling overpopulation, and Julian realizes that he’s going to have to burn at some point—especially when he becomes a target for Nicholas, the manipulative leader of the Burners, the school’s suicide club. And when Julian eventually succumbs, he uncovers suspicious gaps in the rebirth system that may explain exactly why his mother went so far down the rabbit hole years ago. Along with a group of student dissenters, Julian sets out to find answers and is soon on the verge of exposing the greatest conspiracy ever unleashed on the world.
He has just eight more lives to uncover the brutal truth.
This one has actually been sitting on my shelves for a little while and I’m not really sure why I haven’t got around the reading it yet as the concept sounds so good! If you’ve read it let me know what you thought of it in the comments!

The Nothing Man by Catherine Ryan Howard
About the book
I was the girl who survived the Nothing Man.
Now I am the woman who is going to catch him…
You’ve just read the opening pages of The Nothing Man, the true crime memoir Eve Black has written about her obsessive search for the man who killed her family nearly two decades ago.
Supermarket security guard Jim Doyle is reading it too, and with each turn of the page his rage grows. Because Jim was – is – the Nothing Man.
The more Jim reads, the more he realizes how dangerously close Eve is getting to the truth. He knows she won’t give up until she finds him. He has no choice but to stop her first…
This one actually comes out today so it’s not yet on my shelves but I think it sounds like a fantastic read and I have it on pre-order so it should be here soon!

One memorable and two to be read N books! Let me know yours in the comments and be sure to come back on the 20th to discover my O books!
