Star Wars Readathon TBR

Afternoon everyone! Those of you that follow SWB probably know one of my closest blogging friends is Charlotte, who blogs at Charlotte, Somewhere. Her son is a regular contributor to her blog, and his Books With The Boy Posts are an absolute joy to read. During lockdown S has been running a book club for us all and he’s come up with a wonderful readathon for June. Being a Star Wars geek there was no way I could say no to taking part in this! It’s not too onerous so I’ve included the prompts below as well as my TBR in case you want to join in!

Star Wars Readathon Prompts

Padawan
A book with a purple front cover
A book set in a world of magic

Jedi Knight
A book with a blue front cover
A book set in a world of magic
A book that features siblings

Jedi Master
A book with a green front cover
A book set in a world of magic
A book featuring an old person

Sith
A book with a red front cover
A book set in a world of magic
A book with darkness

Naturally I’m taking the route to the dark side and so I’ll be completing the Sith prompts! Here’s my TBR…

A book with a red front coverWundersmith: The Calling Of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend. I read Nevermoor for the Magical Readathon in April so I’ve been meaning to pick this one up ever since. So I’m taking advantage of the red cover to fulfil this prompt!

A book set in a world of magicHavenfall by Sara Holland. I loved Sara’s Everless Duology and I adored the small sampler Charlotte nabbed from YALC for me last year. I’ve had it since release day so I’m looking forward to diving in and experiencing the magic of the different realms.

A book with darknessLittle Doubt by Rachel Lynch. I’m a huge fan of Rachel’s DI Kelly Porter series, there’s a few different ways I could have interpreted this prompt, I nearly picked The Last Day by Andrew Hunter Murray which is set in a future where the world has stopped turning and half is in literal darkness permanently. Instead I’ve gone with the darkness of human nature and Rachel’s crime novel featuring two murders.

I’d love to know if you decide to take part in S’s Star Wars Readathon too! Be sure to drop me a comment below or drop me and @charlotteswhere a message on Twitter!
