Good morning! I’m pleased to say this week there were actually some posts in between Six for Sundays! Today is the last day of May which means the final prompt of Steph’s Showing Some Series Love theme. Next week we’re onto June’s prompts celebrating pride!
Six for Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Steph at ALITTLEBUTALOT. You can find a list of prompts for April, May and June here

Favourite Series
Today is all about our favourite series, now trying to narrow it down to six is difficult, so I’ve tried to shine a light on some of the lesser known series that I adore, which is why no matter how much I adore them Harry Potter and His Dark Materials aren’t on my list below. I have also inadvertently picked six series that haven’t actually reached a conclusion yet oops… My one rule when picking these series was that I had to have read more than one book, so as much as I adore books like Nevermoor that’s not on my list just yet…
The Ant & Bea Mysteries

This is a lovely cosy crime series featuring Ant and Bea, two employees at a local supermarket who somehow manage to find themselves in the middle of crimes and end up investigating. The third book Expiry Date is due out next month and I had the luck to get an advanced copy and it’s another wonderful addition to the series, so look out for my review in a couple of weeks!
Be sure to check out my The Cost Of Living review and my Dead Stock review
Isles of Storm and Sorrow Trilogy

I actually received Viper in a book box but hadn’t got around to reading it until Steph started her Six for Sunday chats and people were raving about it so I ordered Venom and sat down to start Viper. I read them both in less than 48 hours, Bex has created a fantastic world, filled with incredible characters and a plot that will keep you hooked! I already have Vulture on pre-order even though it’s not out until next April. I’m not sure how I’m waiting so long! My reviews for both books are coming soon to SWB!
The Detective Natalie Ward Series

This is the second of Carol’s crime series that I’ve read and I’m absolutely hooked on it. The series does an incredible job of balancing the crime aspect of each individual book, with character development that happens throughout the series. If you like crime this is a wonderful series. I’m currently reading an advance copy of Somebody’s Daughter and it’s living up to the rest of the series!
I’ve reviewed all of these books on my blog so if you want to read my thoughts be sure to check them out! The Birthday, Last Lullaby, The Dare, The Sleepover, The Blossom Twins, and The Secret Admirer
The Cormoran Strike Series

Okay, so this isn’t exactly an unknown series given the writer behind the penname but I’m including it anyway. This is definitely a series that has grown on me. I liked The Cuckoo’s Calling when I first read it but for whatever reason I never rushed to read The Silkworm and Career of Evil. When I finally got around to listening to the audiobooks I really enjoyed them, I’ve especially loved Robin’s development across the books, she’s really grown so much and it’s been great to see! Troubled Blood is due out later this year and I’ve got it pre-ordered! Also this is one book series where I really don’t mind the TV adaptation, this may or may not be related to Tom Burke’s starring role…
I’ve previously reviewed The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm, Career of Evil and Lethal White here on SWB!
The Unmapped Chronicles

This is such a great series from Abi, I fell in love with Smudge and Bartholomew in Everdark, and Casper Tock, Utterly Thankless and Arlo were wonderful characters in Rumblestar! Jungledrop was due for release in May, but it’s been pushed back until October because of the virus. I have no doubt that once we get to go on our trip to to Jungledrop and meet Fox and Fibber I will adore them just as much as Abi’s previous creations!

This is such a fun series for younger readers! It’s full of great characters who go off on wonderful adventures. Topped off with Laura’s gorgeous artwork!
You can find my reviews for the first two books in the series The Barbaric Ball and The Unicorn Lords here on SWB.

They were my #SixforSunday! If you’ve taken part leave a link to your post below and I’ll be sure to check it out!
