SWB’s January In Books

Good morning! I’m changing it up a little bit today with a new end of the month wrap up style post. I started last year with plans to share posts each month sharing the books I’d bought and the books I was was looking forward to the following month. I did pretty well for the first few months but by the end of the year I got behind and stopped posting them. So for 2020 I’m going to combine the posts along with some of my reading stats for the month!

My Bookish Stats

I’m aiming to read at least one book a week during 2020 so I’m off to a good start with six read already this year!

I’m counting new release books as anything released in the current year. This split isn’t too bad, but I definitely have a lot of backlist books to read to clear my TBR down so I have to try and up that next month.

I’m not sure if I’m overly generous or if I’ve just read some wonderful books in January! My ratings have never had the strictest of criteria, they’re all about how the book made me feel.
