It’s time to move another letter down the alphabet for The ABC Book Challenge!
Every couple of weeks I’ll be sharing at least one memorable book with a title beginning with the letter of the week, and one (or more) books currently on my TBR.
I’ll be ignoring any As etc at the beginning of titles

The ABC Book Challenge – L
A Memorable Book…

Little Girl Lost by Carol Wyer
About the book
A perfect family hiding disturbing secrets. A killer who wants the truth to be told.
A teacher goes missing under suspicious circumstances.
A millionaire is murdered at a local reservoir.
For Detective Robyn Carter, there’s no obvious link between the men. But as she starts to delve into the cases, her investigations lead her to Abigail, perfect wife and mother to beautiful little Izzy. What was Abigail’s connection to the victims? And why is she receiving threatening messages from an anonymous number?
But as Robyn starts to inch closer to finding the killer, Izzy is abducted.
Unless Robyn gets to the twisted individual in time, a little girl will die …
This was one of the first NetGalley books I was approved for and it introduced me to the wonderful author that is Carol Wyer. I loved this series, and her current Natalie Ward series is another fantastic read!

A Book On My TBR…

The Love Hypothesis by Laura Steven
About the book
Physics genius Caro Kerber-Murphy knows she’s smart. With straight As and a college scholarship already in the bag, she’s meeting her two dads’ colossal expectations and then some. But there’s one test she’s never quite been able to ace: love. And when, in a particularly desperate moment, Caro discovers a (definitely questionable) scientific breakthrough that promises to make you irresistible to everyone around you, she wonders if this could be the key. What happens next will change everything Caro thought she knew chemistry – in the lab and in love.
Is her long-time crush Haruki with her of his own free will? Are her feelings for her best girl friend some sort of side-effect? Will her dog, Sirius, ever stop humping her leg?
My friend picked up the sampler for The Love Hypothesis back at YALC last year and I adored it! I cannot wait for March so I can get my hands on this one!

The Last Day by Andrew Hunter Murray
About the book
The Last Day is set 40 years into the future after the planet’s rotation has slowed to a halt, resulting in half the earth facing the constant light of the sun while the other half lives in an endless, frozen night. The plot centres on a young scientist who is called back to London from the frozen Atlantic and begins to uncover a truth which could change the future of the human race.
The concept for this one sounds intriguing. It’s the author’s debut novel but he happens to be one of the QI researchers and a regular voice on the No Such Thing As A Fish podcast which I devour on a weekly basis so I’m looking forward to picking this up next month

One memorable and two to be read L books! Let me know yours in the comments and be sure to come back on the 14th to discover my M books!
