So the second half of last year my ABC Book Challenge took a back seat – or I forgot all about it dependant on how you look at it… But now it’s a new year and it’s time to move another letter down the alphabet for The ABC Book Challenge!
Every couple of weeks I’ll be sharing at least one memorable book with a title beginning with the letter of the week, and one (or more) books currently on my TBR.
I’ll be ignoring any As etc at the beginning of titles

The ABC Book Challenge – K
A Memorable Book…

Kismet by Luke Tredget
About the book.
Anna is in love.
Or maybe not.
She’s a free spirit: definitely happy.
Or is it more panicked?
In any case, she is living life to the full. Or maybe to the edge.
And having a glass of wine.
With a big birthday just around the corner, an important new project at work, and a boyfriend she suspects might be about to ask her a significant question, Anna should feel like she has it all together. But somehow, she just doesn’t seem to be sure about, well, anything. So she gets out her phone and decides to download Kismet.
Will she embrace the life she has, or risk everything for the life she imagines?
I remember being pretty unsure when I picked this book up, it wasn’t my usual sort of read but I was really taken with it and it certainly left me thinking!
A Book On My TBR…

Kat Wolfe Investigates by Lauren St John
About the book
Join brave Kat Wolfe and her animal sidekicks in this first mysterious adventure filled with friendship, freedom and a fierce wild cat!
Kat Wolfe loves her new home in idyllic Bluebell Bay, especially as it comes with a resident wildcat. But when she starts pet-sitting for pocket money, she finds that beneath the town’s perfect surface lie some dark and dangerous secrets . . .
After a pet owner vanishes from his clifftop mansion, Kat turns to her new friend, Harper Lamb, for help. What began as mystery-solving holiday fun quickly turns deadly for Wolfe and Lamb. Can they count on their unruly animals to save their lives?
This one has been sitting on my Kindle for a few months now, it’s certainly not one of the books that has been languishing on my TBR the longest… I read a couple of middle grade mystery books last year and I heard good things about this one so I grabbed it. Naturally despite my best intentions this one has been sitting unread ever since…

The Kingdom by Jess Rothenberg
About the book
Welcome to the Kingdom… where ‘Happily Ever After’ isn’t just a promise, but a rule.
Glimmering like a jewel behind its gateway, The Kingdom™ is an immersive fantasy theme park where guests soar on virtual dragons, castles loom like giants, and bioengineered species―formerly extinct―roam free.
Ana is one of seven Fantasists, beautiful “princesses” engineered to make dreams come true. When she meets park employee Owen, Ana begins to experience emotions beyond her programming including, for the first time… love.
But the fairytale becomes a nightmare when Ana is accused of murdering Owen, igniting the trial of the century. Through courtroom testimony, interviews, and Ana’s memories of Owen, emerges a tale of love, lies, and cruelty―and what it truly means to be human.
I bought the Kingdom not long after it was released as it sounded so interesting! Then I heard some mixed reviews about it and it dropped down my pile of books to try and get to soon. I really should just pick it up and give it a go!

One memorable and two to be read K books! Let me know yours in the comments and be sure to come back on the 31st to discover my L books!
