The usual Wednesday review will follow later on this afternoon but this morning I wanted to take a moment to shine a little light on the Book Trust’s Christmas #JustOneBook Campaign.

This Christmas the Book Trust are attempting to 12,250 book gifts to vulnerable children. Just £10 will give the gift of a book to a child who is vulnerable or in care. They may be in a household that cannot afford gifts this year, or it might be a child’s first Christmas away from their home and their family.
This year the Book’s Trust have selected six hardback books: Maisy’s Funfair, The Paddington Treasury, Very Important Animals, Great Adventurers, Guinness World Records 2020, and An Anthology Of Intriguing Animals which will be gifted to each child dependant on their age. Each child will also recieve a letter from Cressida Cowell and a special festive poster and bookmark by Neal Layton

The campaign is running right through to Christmas Eve, for more information of to donate please visit
