I’m back with another Tag Thursday! This week I’m taking on The 100 Truths Tag! I first spotted this on Lauren’s blog Lala’s Book Reviews back in July, be sure to check out her answers!

1 – What’s your name?
It’s Sarah, you could probably have guessed from the title of my blog though couldn’t you…
2 – Any nicknames or aliases?
A couple although they don’t really get used all that often. Saz and Swithers are leftovers from school. Darth is my nickname in the group chat I have with some of my closest friends. And yes that is Darth as is Darth Vader
3 – Your gender?
Female
4 – Your star sign?
I’m a Libra, although I’m not sure how much I actually believe in star signs. I’m certainly not regularly checking my horoscope….
5 – How old are you?
32 just, it was my birthday last week. Although I did get ID’d buying alcohol in M&S at the weekend so I’m considering that a win!
6 – Any children?
Nope – Although I do have a goddaughter, who comes with a younger brother and I adore them both
7 – Any pets?
Unfortunately not currently, with the flat I live in and the amount of time I’m out at work it wouldn’t be fair on any pets… I did grow up with two cats and a dog so I would love to own a couple in the future!
8 – Any tattoos or piercings?
Just my earlobes, although I very rarely wear earrings so the holes have usually started to close up by the time I put them in again
9 – What do you like about yourself?
Most things I think, I’ve had a few decades to get used to things
10 – What do you dislike about yourself?
I’d like to be a bit more toned probably, but I like food too much to diet and I find it too easy to fall out of the routine of heading to the gym. I’d also like to be a little taller, but I can fix that with a pair of heels!
11 – Righty or lefty?
Righty

12 – The last thing you drank:
Tea – It’s freezing in Scotland as I’m writing this on Sunday, but naturally I still have the window open for fresh air so plenty of lovely warming tea is being drunk
13 – The last thing you ate:
I was really lazy this Sunday lunchtime and had an M&S ready meal. It was pulled ham in a mustard sauce with mash potato, peas and carrots. It was from their Balanced For You range so in theory healthy, although I’ll probably ruin that with some cranberry and clementine jaffa cakes I also picked up from M&S
14 – Your last phone call:
I’m really not a phone call type of person, I’ll happily chat away in person but at a distance I’d rather text/WhatsApp… The last phone call I made was to my best friend at the end of September. We were both out in town and she was picking up my birthday present while I tried on some clothes so I had to call to check she was done before I went to meet her
15 – Your last text message:
It was the same friend, letting her know I had spent the whole of Sunday morning watching Cooking Up A Fortune which is a show she recommended. It’s only 28 minutes an episode but I’ve watched so many!
16 – Your last email:
Myself, I took some photos for the blog on my phone and I emailed them to myself so I could edit them ready for a couple of upcoming blog posts
17 – The last song you listened to:
Where We Come Alive by Ruelle. Match Of The Day used it at the end of the last football season as the backing track for the highlights reel and I fell in love with it!
18 – The last book you read:
As I write this I’m partway through Blood Rites by Rachel Lynch. It’s the latest in the DI Kelly Porter series and I’m really enjoying it!
19 – The last time you cried:
I’m not really a crier to be honest… It was the anniversary of my grandma’s death not that long ago and I definitely had a bit of a moment. No actual tears though…
20 – The last blog you read:
I have not blog hopped as much as I would have liked recently. I’ve been getting in from work and collapsing onto the sofa and not even opening my laptop. I’m hoping to get a new laptop this week so maybe not having to do battle with a dying laptop every time I turn it on will get me back in the hopping habit!
21 – The last person you spoke to:
Probably the woman in Farmfoods when I ran out this morning to get some milk…
22 – The last place you visited:
This depends on how you’re interpreting visited… I mean strictly speaking I visited Farmfoods this morning, and I visited Dunfermline yesterday when I went shopping… However the last place I visited that required some effort and time to get to was when I went back to Devon to visit family. I really need another holiday!
23 – Your last vacation abroad:
Oh this is depressingly long ago! I think it would have to be when my mum took me to New York but that must be getting close to five years ago now! See above comment about holidays!

24 – Have you ever gotten back with an ex?
Nope – generally speaking they’re an ex for a reason…
25 – Have you ever been cheated on?
Not to my knowledge
26 – Have you ever cheated on someone?
Nope
27 – Have you ever lost someone special to you?
I’ve lost a couple of grandparents I was very close to growing up
28 – Have you ever been so drunk you threw up?
Once at uni…
29 – Have you ever fallen out of love with someone?
Yes
30 – Have you ever met someone who changed you?
I don’t think so… I’ve changed over the years for sure but I think that’s just part of getting older rather than being due to someone
31 – Have you ever been in a situation where you found out who your real friends are?
Yes
32 – Have you ever kissed someone you probably shouldn’t have?
Yes – Not in a cheating sense or anything like that but probably wouldn’t have if I’d been a little more sober at the time…
33 – Have you ever found out people were talking about you behind your back?
Yes
34 – Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
I don’t think so…
35 – Have you ever kissed a stranger?
Yes – See above kissed someone you shouldn’t have comment above!
36 – Have you ever had your own heart broken?
Nope
37 – Have you ever had sex on the first date?
Nope
38 – Have you ever been arrested?
Nope
39 – Have you ever been attracted to someone that isn’t the gender you usually find attractive?
Not really… I will readily admit when another female is attractive but I’m not attracted to them if that makes sense
40 – Have you ever done something you regret?
Nope
41 – Have you ever had a threesome?
Nope
42 – Have you ever embarrassed yourself in public?
Almost certainly
43 – Have you ever misjudged someone?
Yes

44 – Do you believe in God?
I believe in something… I was bought up going to church, I’m not sure how much I believe in organised religion…
45 – Do you believe in yourself?
Yes, most of the time. If I don’t who else will?! Well except my mother….
46 – Do you believe in Santa Claus?
Are you suggesting he’s not real?
47 – Do you believe in ghosts?
Nope
48 – Do you believe in aliens?
Maybe… with a universe the size of ours I think it’s not unreasonable to think that somewhere out there exists another planet where conditions have allowed for life. I’m not expecting an invasion anytime soon though
49 – Do you believe in miracles?
I’m open to the possibility but I’m fairly scientifically minded so I think there’s often an explanation… however if someone appears with the ability to turn water into a G&T they will always be welcome
50 – Do you believe in the power of positive thinking?
I’m far from a natural optimist but I guess it can’t hurt
51 – Do you believe in love at first sight?
Attraction at first sight for sure. I think you have to know someone to love them though…
52 – Can money make you happy?
It can help…
53 – Would you describe yourself as a feminist?
Yes, I’m for equality whether we’re talking gender, race, sexuality, disability etc… That’s not to say I agree with everything that’s said in the name of feminism… Or any other group for that matter….
54 – Are you pro-life or pro-choice?
Pro-choice. I don’t think anyone should have the right to demand what another can or cannot do with their own body…
55 – Do you have strong political beliefs?
I have strong ideals – I’m not sure they’re fully compatible with any one political party currently in the UK
56 – Do you have strong religious beliefs?
Not really
57 – What do you think the most important thing you can give a child is?
Love and attention

58 – Are you eating anything right now?
I have literally just put a chocolate truffle in my mouth. My boss brought me them for my birthday, they’re from M&S and they’re cognac cocoa dusted truffles. They taste amazing but definitely not one to have at work, they’re pretty strong!
59 – Are you drinking anything right now?
Nope, although I can see another cup of tea in the not too distant future!
60 – What are you listening to right now?
I still have more of Cooking Up A Fortune on in the background
61 – What are you thinking about right now?
How good some of the food on the TV looks! And how long I’ve been working on this tag!
62 – What are you waiting for right now?
I sent my old iPhone x off for trade in, so I’m waiting on that being processed and the money sent to my bank account so I can buy my new laptop! Hopefully by the time you read this it will all be sorted!
63 – What are you most excited about right now?
I’m not sure, without wanting to sound too repetitive the idea of a new laptop! This one is probably close to seven years old now and over the past six months or so has been slowly dying… To the point I now can’t open a file in any MS Office programme without it crashing…
64 – What’s your pet peeve right now?
People who take up both sides of the escalator! I’m not sure if it’s because I spent so much time in London over the years but I’m very much stand on the right and leave a space on the left for people to walk up. The amount of times my train has been late on the way to work and I’ve needed to rush up to the bus stop and there are people blocking the escalator I’m trying to run up!
65 – What’s your favorite thing right now?
I’ve no idea! I’m very fond of my new kitchen knives. They’re only from Ikea but I hadn’t realised how blunt the ones I’d been using were until I went to chop an onion this morning with my new knife and it was like cutting through butter! God I sound so old!
66 – If you weren’t answering these questions, what would you be doing right now
Probably working on a different tag to share instead… I’d set aside today as a blogging day as I’ve been so lax recently!
67 – What’s your favorite book of this year?
Ooh this has probably changed about ten times already this year! I adored Cogheart, and Rumblestar. Evermore was a great conclusion to the duology and I’m really enjoying State Of Sorrow so far, so I suspect that may make the list… I also loved No Time To Cry and The Sleepover. Click any of the titles to check out my reviews!

68 – Your first best friend:
Probably Nathan, our mums met at antenatal classes and we were born a couple of weeks apart so we were good friends starting primary school
69 – Your first kiss:
A boy called Nick in my first year of secondary school
70 – Your first celebrity crush:
The first celebrity crush I really clearly remember is probably Rob Lowe in The West Wing. I adored Sam!
71 – Your first vacation:
I remember going to Manchester to visit my grandma… The first holiday I remember actually being away was probably when we stayed at a B&B in a farmhouse in Cornwall. My first holiday abroad was when I was around 13 and we went to Barbados to meet the extended family on my dad’s side
72 – Your first pet:
My parents already had two cats called Posh Paws and Tiger, and a golden lab-retriever called Jack when I was born so all of these
73 – Your first regret:
No idea… Probably some of the A Level choices I made, they sort of shut down some of my options when it came to my degree… That said if I’d picked different subjects I wouldn’t have ended up leading the life I’ve lead and meeting some of the people that have become like family to me, so everything happens for a reason!
74 – Your first job:
I worked part time in a local convenience shop from just before I turned 15. I covered a friend’s paper-round for a week before that but that doesn’t count!
75 – Your first childhood memory:
I remember my brother being very ill when he was still pretty young, maybe a few months old. He had to go into hospital with his asthma and was kept in. I only remember this because dad brought me home and we got KFC. I would have been about 3 or 4

76 – Love or money?
Love
77 – Twitter or Facebook?
Twitter? I don’t use Facebook all that often, although there are a couple of groups that have some hilarious posts every now and then…
78 – Hook up or relationship?
Relationship
79 – Dogs or cats?
You can’t expect me to actually choose
80 – Coffee or tea?
I drink both, but I would probably give up tea before coffee if I was forced
81 – Beer or wine?
Wine, I really don’t drink beer so that was an easy choice. I’d pick gin over either though!
82 – Sweet or savory?
Sweet, especially when it comes to snacks! I really don’t eat things like crisps all that often
83 – Introvert or extrovert?
It really depends on the situation. I can definitely be the loud one in a group of my friends and don’t mind the attention, but surround me with strangers and I can be quite quiet.
84 – Vampires or werewolves?
Vampires? I’m not the biggest fan of either to be honest… I blame Twilight
85 – Seaside or countryside?
I have to say the seaside… It’s where I grew up, although the countryside wasn’t too far away!
86 – Summer or winter?
As much as I love curling up with a book in the winter I’m going with summer! I love the long days, and after moving from Devon to Scotland I definitely notice a difference in the length of day we get up here in the middle of summer!
87 – Books or movies?
Books – although I do love a good film!
88 – Horror or comedy?
Are we talking films again? I’d have to say comedy as I’m really not a horror fan. I’d rather watch an action film though…

89 – Do you wish you could change your past?
I don’t think so, as I said above I think everything that has happened has led me to where I am now and I’m very fond of my life as it stands… That said I would have liked a few more years with my grandma…
90 – What’s your dream job?
No idea! I wouldn’t say I’m doing it, I sort of fell into my career as I think most people in procurement do but I’m not sure what I’d do instead… I wanted to be a surgeon when I was younger…
91 – What’s your guilty pleasure?
Spending a whole day in bed. It’s perhaps a bit of a waste when I only get the weekend to do most of my household tasks – I’m usually to tired when I eventually get home from work to do much during the week but every now and then a Saturday spent in bed reading or watching Netflix is just bliss!
92 – What are you afraid of?
Nothing really… I could probably think of something if I tried hard enough but nothing springs to mind. I don’t mind snakes or spiders… I’m good with heights… I don’t really like clowns but I wouldn’t say I’m afraid of them…
93 – What was the first thing you wanted to be when you grew up?
That I remember clearly would be a doctor or a lawyer… There are probably other things that I wanted to do when I was younger…
94 – If you could have any super power, what would it be?
The power to teleport… As dull as this may sound I spend about two and a half hours a day commuting to work so cutting that out completely would be amazing! I’d have so much more time to do things!
95 – If you could change anything about your life what would it be?
Did we already have this question? I’m not sure I’d change anything… A few more pennies in the bank so I could afford to buy a house right now would be nice…
96 – Would you want immortality?
I don’t think so… One of the worst things about life for me is saying goodbye to loved ones when they pass so doing that over and over again for eternity doesn’t really appeal…
97 – If you could interview anyone alive or dead who would you choose?
Probably Martin Luther King Jr. I think he’s a fascinating man and I’d be very interested in his views on the world currently…
98 – Would you say you are happy?
Yep! Like everyone I have some down days but overall definitely happy
99 – What one piece of advice would you give to yourself at age eighteen?
Don’t worry, everything is going to work out okay…
100 – Where would you like to be in five years’ time?
In my own house, complete with a library/reading room and a puppy!

There were are, 100 truths done and dusted! That definitely took longer than expected to type up so I hope you’ve found it interesting! Let me know in the comments!
