This week has flown by, in fact this whole year has so far, how is it we’re only a week away from April?!
Work as always has been manic but I spent Friday afternoon catching up with some old colleagues from the NHS and it was great being able to catch up! This coming week should be equally manic, I’ve got an all day training session on Tuesday and on Friday I’m travelling over to Glasgow for a team meeting. All of this means I’ve only got 3 days of actually being able to work this week, which on a normal week would be difficult, but I’m on annual leave the next week which means I have to make sure I get things done, things that I could normally push to the Monday I won’t be able to so I foresee a few late nights in the office!
On the plus side the week after I’m away with two of my best friends. My friend’s husband is away for work the first week of the kids’ Easter break so we’re taking them over to the coast for the week. I’m really looking forward to it, as despite living in Scotland for nearly ten years I’ve spent nearly all my time on the east coast, apart from a few trips to Glasgow so I’m looking forward to visiting the Ayrshire coast and exploring a bit of the west!

On SWB This Week
On Monday I shared March’s Wildest Dream Book Box – Can You Keep A Secret?
Top Ten Tuesday was all about our Spring 2019 TBRs
On Thursday I continued with my weekly Tag posts and completed The Bookish This Or That Tag
On Saturday I tried something a little different and talked about something other than books! Instead I talked about Queer Eye Season Three and I’d love to know what you think about some other media being on SWB!
This morning it was time for another Six For Sunday and today was an ode to my favourite genre – Crime Fiction.

From Around The Blogsphere
Some of my favourite blog posts from the past week
Rhianna at Tsundoku Girl posted a fantastic blog about ways to reuse old books! If you’ve got some old proofs you’re not sure what to do with be sure to check it out!
Lots of other bloggers shared their Spring TBRs from Top Ten Tuesday, be sure to check out posts from Book Lovers Blog, Kate, and Amy.
Jordyn celebrated the International Day of Happiness by sharing ten things that make her happy. I think sometimes (especially at the moment) it’s easy to focus on the negative things so it was a great reminder to focus on the positives!
The Northern YA Literature Festival took place last weekend, I’m gutted I couldn’t make it but some of my favourite bloggers were there and shared their experiences across their blogs this week. Read posts from Steph, Cora, Charlotte, and Rosie and try not to get too jealous!
On a similar note YA Under My Skin shared her experience at the Simon and Schuster’s Big Book Brunch.
If You’re Out There by Katy Loutzenhiser is a book I’m really interested in reading so I loved reading an interview with her on the Avid Reader blog.
I wasn’t the only one writing an ode to my favourite genre so be sure to check out Six for Sunday posts from Steph, Charlotte, and Books In The Skye

Coming Up On SWB
Who knows! There will definitely be Top Ten Tuesday and Six For Sunday, I’m trying to get a little more organised as the first week of April I’m away so I won’t have access to my laptop from next Saturday and posting from my iPad isn’t as easy!

That was my week! Let me know your favourite blog post of the week, either one you’ve written or read somewhere else, and I’ll be sure to check it out!

Thank you so much for including one of my posts 💜💜
Please can I be nosy and ask which part of Ayrshire you’re headed to? I love it there, though it’s been a while since I’ve been! If you end up going to Girvan there is the most AMAZING fish and chip shop called Graziano’s and an exceptional ice cream parlour that I can’t recall the name of. We’re going to Northumberland the same week and I’m so excited! I haven’t picked my books to take yet but I have a few ideas and I’ll hopefully get through a few at least.

We’re off to Craig Tara but we’ll have a car so maybe we’ll head down that way!
I might take a couple of books, but with 4 and 8 year olds about I’m not sure how much reading I’ll get done!

Thanks so much for mentioning my TTT post! ❤ Sounds like you had a great week! I wish you'd been able to come to NYA lit fest, as it would have been so cool to meet you for the first time, but perhaps YALC over the summer if you're going? 🙂
