Continuing March’s An Ode To… theme today is all about wonderful bookish couples! My take on this is to pick out six of my favourite bookish couples, now like most of my favourite things this will vary on a weekly basis, most likely based on whatever I’ve read recently.
I actually found this quite difficult, while I do read some YA contemporary I’m not the biggest fan of the contemporary genre in general so I don’t read that much where the romance / couple aspect is the main plot of the book so a few of the couples below really are secondary to the main plot but I still love them!
Six for Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Steph at ALITTLEBUTALOT. You can find a list of prompts from January to June 2019 here

Bookish Couples
So here are my six favourite bookish couples (as of 16th March 2019) I make no promises my list would be the same next week!
DI Kelly Porter & Johnny – Kelly Porter Novels
Kelly returns from London in the first book of the series and over the course of the 4 novels so far she’s has a bit of a rough time, from dealing with murders and missing children in her professional life to dealing with a number of revelations in her personal life. I really love the relationship she’s developed with Johnny, and the way he just gets her and doesn’t try and change her into someone she’s not.
Lexi Angelo and Aiden Green – Unconventional
Convention planner meets her favourite author who just happens to be the main attraction at a series of conventions, things don’t get off to the best of starts but Aiden wins Lexi back around. Is it a little cliched? Probably but Maggie Harcourt writes such wonderful characters I really didn’t care!
Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry – His Dark Materials
Lyra and Will’s relationship is both beautiful and heartbreaking! I’m not sure I could deal with the sacrifices they do!
Meg and Ed – Stargazing for Beginners
I love so many of the the relationships and friendships within this book and the development of Meg and Ed’s relationship is just great, I love how he supports her, their ending in the book was just perfect.
Juliet and Declan – Letters To The Lost
This was such an interesting relationship to see develop especially because as readers we knew more than the couple themselves, so we got to see the relationship develop between two mysterious letter writers, while at the same time seeing how Juliet responds to Declan at school. We know they’re the same people, while they’re still working it out. I really enjoyed seeing Juliet come to certain realisations and Declan open up about his life as the two of them came together.
Linny and Sebastian – If Birds Fly Back
Things don’t always go smoothly for Linny and Sebastian during the story but I love their relationship and how hopeful the ending is!

They were my #SixforSunday! If you’ve taken part leave a link to your post below and I’ll be sure to check it out!

I loved Meg and Ed too! Annie and Fab in the companion novel are darling as well 💜

I bought that this week! I’d forgotten about it until I was writing my books that need sequels post and went to put Stargazing for Beginners on it!
