It’s the second day of Blogmas and it’s one of my regular Six On Sunday posts. Today’s prompt from Steph is all about the things we would like Santa to bring us this year. This is quite similar to one of the posts I’ve planned for Blogmas so I’m limiting my list to things I really do need Santa to bring me as they’re far too expensive to ask anyone for, or to buy myself unless I feel like not eating for a week!
Santa Will You Please Bring Me…
Harry Potter Deluxe Illustrated Editions One day I may treat myself to the regular illustrated editions – although I struggle enough to justify spending £30 to buy a books I already have at least two copies of… I would need to win the lottery to afford these deluxe editions at £150 each, they are absolutely gorgeous though!
Wooden Bookends and Jane Austen Cloth bound Classics I’m a sucker for beautiful books and I love these cloth bound Jane Austen classics and the bookends from Penguin are beautiful! But at £175 all in it’s not in my near future!
Harry Potter Leather Bound House Editions Oh look Harry Potter appears once again. This time it’s a stunning leather bound set produced by Juniper Books. They’re based in America but this set uses the British editions, a limited number are made every year and they come in four different colour schemes each inspired by a Hogwarts house. Obviously I need the dark green and silver version, but at $2,650 dollars I don’t see that happening any time soon!
Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty Limited Editions These beautiful books are part of a 750 limited edition print run from the Folio Society. Presented in a beautiful case and filled with gorgeous illustrations these would look so great on my bookcase but at £225 it costs more than the bookcase did!
Chronicles of Narnia Another set from Juniper Books – This is the full set of the Chronicles of Narnia featuring an absolutely beautiful painting of Aslan by Detour (Thomas Evans). I loved these books when I was younger but I can’t justify spending $195 on them no matter how beautiful they are (and they really are!)
The Walt Disney Film Archives. The Animated Movies 1921–1968 This is a stunning looking book from TASCHEN Books that celebrates every film made during Walt Disney’s lifetime. Full of beautiful illustrations and essays it looks incredible and is limited to 2,500 copies and at £350 it’s unlikely one of those copies will be coming home with me!
They were my #SixforSunday! If you’ve taken part leave a link to your post below and I’ll be sure to check it out!
