We all start every year full of the best intentions and convinced we’re going to manage to read ALL the books. In reality that rarely happens (and if you manage it I’m going to need you to share your secret!)
For today’s Top Ten Tuesday I’m sharing 10 2017 releases still sitting on my TBR – These are certainly not the only 10 2017 books sitting on my TBR, nor are they the oldest books!

Backlist Books I Want to Read
The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas
This was published back in the first half of 2017 and I’ve been meaning to read it since it’s release – I finally got around to buying a copy at the beginning of this year. It featured in my ‘Halloween’ TBR so I should finally have it read by the end of November.
Wing Jones by Katherine Webber
Another early 2017 release that so many of my friends have raved about and I’m still to read! Wing Jones was the W in my Halloween TBR so it’s another I’m hoping to get to this month.
A Quiet Kind Of Thunder by Sara Barnard
Sara Barnard is on my list of authors everyone adores but I’ve still to read. I own Goodbye Perfect but really want to pick up and read A Quiet Kind Of Thunder!
Noah Can’t Even by Simon James Green
Some of my closest blogger friends have raved about Noah Can’t Even – to the point that Noah Could Never is already on my Amazon wish list even though I haven’t read the first yet.
Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts
Published back in May 2017 I saw Liv rave about this in a video on YouTube and just had to have it. It’s shamefully sat on my bookcase since July this year.
Editing Emma by Chloe Seager
From August 2017 Editing Emma has been sitting on my shelf since I won a copy during a SundayYA chat. The sequel is already out and getting fantastic reviews from my blogging friends so I really need to get to this one soon as well!
Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart
A YA psychological thriller, this is right up my street so I’m not quite sure why 14 months after it was published it still sits unread! I must get to it in 2019
All Rights Reserved by Gregory Scott Katsoulis
Another August 2017 release – All Rights Reserved has such an amazing sounding premise this quickly made my to read list. The sequel Access Restricted was published in August this year so I have some catching up to do!
Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust
Published in September 2017 Girls Made of Snow and Glass was described as Frozen meets The Bloody Chamber which sounds incredible. Add in the fact it’s also described as a feminist fantasy retelling of Snow White and it was straight on my wish list. I think I’ll be finally adding it to my shelves in the next few months.
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli
This one has been out for nearly 18 months now, and has been sitting on my Kindle for about the same amount of time. Becky is another of those authors who is so popular with so many people and I’ve not read any of her books yet so I really need to change that.
So there are 10 of the 2017 releases I’ve still to read. Are any of these still on your to read list? Let me know in the comments!
