Six for Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Steph at ALITTLEBUTALOT. You can find a list of the 2018 prompts here
6 Questions You Have For Your Favourite Character
Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series
Why did you settle for Ron Weasley?
Hands up I’m totally not a Ron fan – but after seven books I was left wondering why someone like Hermione would end up with a man that spent years belittling her and all the things that made her her – her intelligence, her love of books and her enthusiasm for learning – and then he deserted her and Harry during their time on the run.
Maybe I’m just not as forgiving but I’m not sure I could marry someone who had done that.
Silyen Jardine from the Dark Gifts Trilogy
What are you plotting?
Silyen is one of my favourite characters in the book but I genuinely couldn’t tell you whether he is one of the good guys or a baddie – he’s delightfully grey and I just can’t work out what his long term plan actually is.
Jules Ember from Everless
On a scale of 1-10 how confused are you right now?
I read Everless at the beginning of the year and Jules went through a hell of a lot in the course of the story, with a few of the things she thought she knew being completely turned on her head along with losing her father and a few other reveals that I’d love to know what’s going on in her head.
Tony McLean from the DI McLean series
How do you always end up in the middle of some strange conspiracy and crime?
I love this series, it’s a modern day crime series set in Edinburgh and the surrounding area with a supernatural twist. So I’d love to ask Tony how he always manages to end up in the middle of some crazy crime and how he feels about it.
Robin Ellacott from the Cormoran Strike Series
When are you going to kick Matthew to the curb?
Now this isn’t about wanting Cormoran and Robin to get together – although they would make a cute crime solving couple – this is about the fact Matthew is an arse and Robin deserves so much better! I know there are things that we as readers know about that Robin doesn’t, like the whole thing with the phone but she does know he cheated on her and what will possibly (probably) be her lowest ever point and he spends so much time trying to get her to quit and do the job he wants her to do without listening to what she wants to do. While I understand that living in London can be expensive and he frames a lot of what he says around bringing in more money so they can afford a nicer place, or a car, or to have children or whatever, but to me it reads far more like him trying to mould Robin into who he wants her to be rather that encouraging her to be who she wants to be.
Lexi Angelo from Unconventional
How are things going with Aiden?
Something lighter to finish with! I absolutely loved Unconventional and the beginning of Lexi and Aiden’s relationship so I’d love to know how it’s going! I really hope it’s still going!
So I decided to ask a question each to six of my favourite characters rather than thinking of six questions for one. Some I will probably never get answers to but I’m holding out hope for three of them!
Bright Ruin is due out this year and I’m hoping for some resolution but knowing Silyen (and Vic) I may still be left trying to work out which way Silyen was truly leaning, although I suspect the side he is on is Silyen Jardine’s side!
The sequel to Everless is due out next year and I’m looking forward to following on with Jules’s story and discovering how things develop!
Finally I’m hoping Robin may come to her senses in Lethal White, it’s due out some time this year and I cannot wait to see Cormoran and Robin working together again.
They were my #SixforSunday! If you’ve taken part leave a link to your post below and I’ll be sure to check it out! Or leave a comment below with a question you’re dying to ask one of your favourite characters.

Not read the books but from the TV show of Strike I 100% agree Matthew is a total arse, and I was so thrilled when I thought Robin was going to leave him in the 3rd!

He’s even worse in the books! I’m pretty sure the TV series didn’t show Matthew taking Robin’s phone while they were driving up for their wedding deleting a message and blocking Strike’s number

I do not recall that, and that is awful! 😞
Hate him in the series 💜
