The Sunday Post – 7th January 2018

Towards the end of last year I really tailed off in my blogging, life got hectic and I didn’t have time to schedule a lot of posts so the only things that really showed up on the blog were reviews for blog tours I had committed to, that meant I didn’t take part in The Sunday Post either, in fact the last one I did was the end of October!

So what have I been up to since then? Well work wise the team I’m part of finished a new hospital! I’m part of the buying team that helps equip new hospitals when they open and I had a part in buying everything from the CT scanner to the bins! It’s the first project I’ve been involved in since moving into the post and it’s amazing the sorts of things you don’t think about but that a hospital needs to function!

My December saw me get to enjoy two Christmases, the first one up in Dundee with friends where we did our usual Secret Santa, ate lots of food and played games. I also managed my now annual tradition of watching the latest Star Wars movie with my best friend. No spoilers but I was definitely in the love it half of the fandom! Also I may have a bit of a thing for Kylo Ren – Don’t judge! Then on the 21st I jumped on a plane and headed down to Devon to spend some time at home with family, it was the first time I’d been back to Exmouth in 2 years, although at one point I wasn’t sure I was going to make it, the fog had come down at Edinburgh Airport and they were cancelling planes all over the place as the incoming ones were having to divert, fortunately our pilot clearly wanted to get back to Devon that night as he circled for an hour or so so he could land. It was nice to catch up with the family though, even if the weather was horrific and I didn’t get out and about as much as I would have liked.

This week back at work has been terrible though, I only did three days and I’m exhausted! Almost two weeks or not setting an alarm and getting up whenever means having to be in the office for 9am has been a bit of a shock to the system!

I actually really enjoyed all of these, it’s been a good start to 2018 book wise, Everless has to be my book of the week though!

Thursday: I took part in the My Name In Books tag and created a TBR based on my name for 2018.

Friday: I shared my review for Everless. I cannot get over how much I enjoyed this books!

Sunday: I took part in Six For Sunday for the first time! I really enjoyed it so it’s definitely going to feature regularly on here
