I’m One!

On January 1st 2017 I was sitting in bed with my laptop feeling sorry for myself – I’d been ill over new year and it wasn’t self inflicted – when a friend suggested I start a blog and so Sarah Withers Blogs was born!

Over the past year the blog has gone through several different styles, I think I’m finally relatively settled now, although I have just changed the fonts I’m using on my featured images – You’ll be easily able to spot my late 2017 reviews when they’re posted as they’ve still the old style!

I’ve also thrown myself into the book blogging community on twitter, joining in with a couple of twitter chats – mainly #SundayYA – I’m terrible at remembering the others! I’ve been lucky enough to have discovered a wonderful, incredibly supportive group of people, I’m hoping 2018 might give me the chance to meet a few of you in person! I’m also hoping to get to a few more book events, although I think YALC might be a little too expensive once you factor in travel and hotels!

Things I’m aiming for in year two? To be more consistent in my blogging, I’ve gone through phases where I’ve posted a lot, and then periods when I’ve barely been active at all. A lot of this has been linked to other things I’ve been up to, a new hospital opened in Scotland in December and I was on the team buying everything to equip it, it got crazy busy as we got closer to opening. I know things will happen in 2018 that will limit my posting so my aim is to be a little more planned in advance so I have posts I can schedule so at least content is still being posted even when I can’t be as active as I would like.

Somehow during 2017 I have gathered over 270 followers which genuinely blows my mind so thank you to every single one of you who has taken the time to read my posts, all of you who like, comment and share them. It genuinely means the world to me!

Here’s to more growth and sharing our love of books in 2018!

With Love Sarah
