WWW Wednesday

My weekly reading update this week, is not much of an update I’m afraid!

I’ll linking up with the weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?

La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman

TBoDAbout the book:

Eleven-year-old Malcolm Polstead and his dæmon, Asta, live with his parents at the Trout Inn near Oxford. Across the River Thames (which Malcolm navigates often using his beloved canoe, a boat by the name of La Belle Sauvage) is the Godstow Priory where the nuns live. Malcolm learns they have a guest with them; a baby by the name of Lyra Belacqua . . .

I’ve not made as much progress on this one as I would have liked, I’ve not actually been at home that much and it’s not leaving the house!

Anything You Do Say by Gillian McAllister

AYDSAbout the book:

Joanna is an avoider. So far she has spent her adult life hiding bank statements and changing career aspirations weekly.

But then one night Joanna hears footsteps on the way home. Is she being followed? She is sure it’s him; the man from the bar who wouldn’t leave her alone. Hearing the steps speed up Joanna turns and pushes with all of her might, sending her pursuer tumbling down the steps and lying motionless on the floor.

Now Joanna has to do the thing she hates most – make a decision. Fight or flight? Truth or lie? Right or wrong?

I’m about halfway through this one now, reading it on my commute, when there’s actually space on the train! It took me a little while to get used to the back and forth but I’m enjoying it.

What did you recently finish reading?

Nothing new since last week….

What do you think you’ll read next?

I posted my probable reads for November this morning. Let me know what I should read first!

Let me know what you’re reading in the comments!
