Here we are at the end of October, 10 months though 2017 already, it’s crazy how fast this year is passing by! Here’s my bookish October update!
Books Purchased
- La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman
- Noughts + Crosses by Malorie Blackman
- Knife Edge by Malorie Blackman
- Checkmate by Malorie Blackman
- Double Cross by Malorie Blackman
I was reasonably good this month with buying books, I HAD to get the special edition of La Belle Sauvage and I don’t regret it at all! I already had the first three books in the Noughts and Crosses series but when I saw a set of all four for £6 I grabbed them, I like the multi coloured covers and now I’ll have a full matching set. I did buy a few other books but they’re for Christmas presents so they totally don’t count…

The total number of books read is still going up, but not at quite the same pace as before!
British Books Challenge 2017: 42/12
–
I really need to vary my reading a little bit! Admittedly there are a huge number of extremely talented British authors but I probably should find some authors from outside Britain, Ireland and the US
2017 Cloak and Dagger Challenge: 38/15
–
Still reading plenty of crime! Another thing I should probably branch out from!
2017 New Release Challenge: 52/30
–
I love the fact I’ve already read enough new books to have read one a week for the year. It does mean I have a backlog of older books beginning to stack up
2017 New To Me Challenge: 51/12
–
Lots of new authors, and series have been read this year!
2017 Netgalley & Edelweiss Challenge: 46/25
–
And this is the reason I have so many new releases read, my ratio is still shockingly low though because I keep seeing other things and clicking request…
