Evening! With it being Sunday tomorrow I figured I’d keep this a brief stats round up and I’ll leave the personal chat until tomorrow!
I only managed three of the books on my TBR during August, although I did finish a fourth today.
On top of the books on my TBR I finally finished Dream Job which I started back in January and listened to the audiobooks of The Silkworm and Career of Evil ahead of Strike starting on TV!
- Mercy Killing by Lisa Cutts
- Blood Sisters by Jane Corry
I picked up both of these from the Kindle, I also pre-ordered the Waterstones Collectors Edition of La Belle Sauvage, and No Such Thing As A Fish’s Book of the Year.
From NetGalley – And I thought I’d been so good!
- The Missing Girls
- Blue Monday
- The Art of Hiding
- The Break
- Cold Feet: The Missing Years
- Alex & Eliza
- The Secrets You Keep
- Anything You Do Say
I won copies of Inspector Hobbes and the Blood and Dead Weapons from Goodreads.
This month I’ve posted the following reviews – Click on any of the titles
For the Book Blog Discussion challenge I’ve started the following discussions – Click through and join in!
None this month – But two planned for September
I’m also keeping track of all my reading challenges –
Goodreads Challenge: 60/50
A little progress but not much, I do have a week off coming up, so in admit doing a couple of school runs to help out and friend and taking her dog for a few walks I hope to get a far bit of reading done!
British Books Challenge 2017: 35/12
Not a bad number! Just over half of my books this year have been British authors
2017 Cloak and Dagger Challenge: 33/15
I’ve been reading a lot of crime this past month, so it’s upped my percentage to just over half of the books I’ve read this year fitting this challenge
2017 New Release Challenge: 45/30
Still reading lots of ARCs (still have far too many to read) but I’ve discovered some wonderful new books, authors and series this year so I’m really happy about this.
2017 New To Me Challenge: 45/12
This is again thanks to NetGalley – Having access to it has certainly had me try out some things that I might not have otherwise picked up. I’m expecting this number to slow now as I’m picking up more of the books from authors I’ve discovered.
2017 Netgalley & Edelweiss Challenge: 42/25
This has gone up, but not by as many as I downloaded during August – My ratio does not thank me!
2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge Posts: 17
I’ve not added any this month but I’m still averaging more than one a month so I’m happy with this. You can see all by discussion posts here. If you have any suggestions for a topic feel free to leave a comment!
I’ll be sharing my September TBR next week!

Seemed like a good idea in January and there’s a lot of overlap so it’s not too bad! Although I’m rubbish at remembering to link up reviews
I always overcommit to challenges in January!
