It’s been too long since I remembered to do one of these so I figured late in the month was better than putting it off until next month and then forgetting again!
Already almost a whole week into August I’m going to take a look back at how I did with my Bookouture themed July TBR. You can find the original post here. So how did I do? Well I started the month with 9.5 books on my TBR, I was already halfway through one. I managed to cross off 5 books from my TBR: The Stolen Girls, The Girls in the Water, Liar, Ten Birthdays, and Reported Missing. It’s been a fairly busy month with lots of social obligations that precluded me spending all my weekends curled up with a book, I had a great time but I have spent this weekend making up for it!
Books Purchased
Honestly I’ve lost track of what I bought when! I will keep better track of anything I buy this month!
Books Received
I thought I’d been good on NetGalley this month, but having just reviewed it I still seem to have added 6 books to my to read shelf.
- The Accident
- The Good Sister
- I Know Where She Is
- The Word Is Murder
- Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
- Dead to Me
I also received copies of Good Friday and Scorn to review for blog tours.

Challenge Progress
I’m also keeping track of all my reading challenges –
Goodreads Challenge: 55/50
–
I’ve done it! I’m not going to officially up my target for the year but I’ll keep going and see where I end up
British Books Challenge 2017: 29/12
–
I’ve read 29 books by British authors – Although I’ve been terrible about remembering to link up with the monthly challenge posts!
2017 Cloak and Dagger Challenge: 26/15
–
I’m still a little surprised that this is such a low number. I know it’s still a fair number of books but it’s less that half the total books I’ve read this year and I always thought mystery and crime were pretty much all I read. That said I have made a conscious effort to read some different things this year and apparently that’s working!
2017 New Release Challenge: 40/30
–
Still reading lots of ARCs (still have far too many to read) but I’ve discovered some wonderful new books, authors and series this year so I’m really happy about this.
2017 New To Me Challenge: 41/12
–
Still discovered lots of new authors and series which is great!
2017 Netgalley & Edelweiss Challenge: 39/25
–
39 books wow! Still so many to go though! My ratio needs some work!

I have been terrible at linking up to the British Books Challenge! Don’t think I have since March eek!
Looks like you’ve had a fantastic month.
I bet you could up your Goodreads Challenge to 75 and still make it 🙂

Looks like Bookouture month was a great one for you! Although with the number of new titles always popping up it’s hard to control the pile haha. 😉 Looking forward to see your TBR!
