WWW Wednesday

Time for my weekly reading update as part in the weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Countless by Karen Gregory. I’ve only really had chance to read this on my commute, which is only 15 or so minutes each day so I’m only about 25% of the way through. It’s dealing with a difficult subject however it’s really well written, I’m not sure if enjoying it is the right word but so far it’s a great book!

C2When Hedda discovers she is pregnant, she doesn’t believe she could ever look after a baby. The numbers just don’t add up. She is young, and still in the grip of an eating disorder that controls every aspect of how she goes about her daily life. She’s even given her eating disorder a name – Nia. But as the days tick by, Hedda comes to a decision: she and Nia will call a truce, just until the baby is born. 17 weeks, 119 days, 357 meals. She can do it, if she takes it one day at a time …

Heartbreaking and hopeful by turns, Karen Gregory’s debut novel is a story of love, heartache and human resilience. And how the things that matter most can’t be counted. Perfect for fans of Lisa Williamson, Non Pratt and Sarah Crossan.

What did you recently finish reading?

Since last week I’ve finished Letters To The Lost, The Cuckoo’s Calling and Weird Things Customers Say In BookshopsMy favourite book of the three would have to be Letters To The Lost – the others certainly weren’t bad books but I truly loved this one.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I veered off my May TBR with the recommendation from the SundayYA girls to pick up Countless . I’ve an exam next Wednesday so I’m not sure how much reading I’ll manage outside of my Business Needs in Procurement and Supply textbook, but if I do manage to pick up something off my TBR I expect it’ll be The Irregular.

Let me know what you’re reading in the comments!
