WWW Wednesday

Since last Wednesday I’ve not done much reading, my mum went home on Thursday, and then on Friday I managed to visit Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee all in a day, I spent the weekend staying with friends in Dundee and felt a little like I didn’t stop until Monday evening so limited reading then!

Time for my weekly reading update as part in the weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?

On Friday I started reading Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer. I’m still only a chapter or so into it but it’s been a great start!

LTTLJuliet Young has always written letters to her mother, a world-traveling photojournalist. Even after her mother’s death, she leaves letters at her grave. It’s the only way Juliet can cope.

Declan Murphy isn’t the sort of guy you want to cross. In the midst of his court-ordered community service at the local cemetery, he’s trying to escape the demons of his past.

When Declan reads a haunting letter left beside a grave, he can’t resist writing back. Soon, he’s opening up to a perfect stranger, and their connection is immediate. But neither of them knows that they’re not actually strangers. When real life at school interferes with their secret life of letters, Juliet and Declan discover truths that might tear them apart. This emotional, compulsively-readable romance will sweep everyone off their feet.

What did you recently finish reading?

The One That Got Away. I’d just decided to read this one for last week’s WWW Wednesday, and I finished it on Friday thanks to numerous train journeys criss-crossing Scotland. It was dark and twisted like I hoped but I just couldn’t connect with it. I’ll be posting a review in the next week or so.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I posted my May TBR yesterday. My plan is to finally finish The Cuckoo’s Calling, it’s been sitting almost finished on my TBR for a while, nothing to do with the book, I just suddenly went off eBooks while I was reading it and never picked it back up. According to my Goodreads I was 78% of the way through the book in March 2014, so 3 years sitting unfinished is probably long enough!

Let me know what you’re reading in the comments!

I’m about a third of the way through Letters To The Lost at the moment. Really enjoying it so far. I feel I’ve read a few books dealing with grief over the past month or so particularly ones aimed at young adults and they’ve all been really good.

Haha I’m the same! I’ve added a couple today, and a few yesterday from a couple of posts about upcoming May releases. So many to read already but I just keep finding more!
