Wednesday again! My mum is up visiting from Devon, so I’ve taken the day off to spend some time with her, quickly writing this one in bed, I’m being lazy and having a lie in, but then I’m off to get ready and do some touristy things in Edinburgh!
Time for my weekly reading update as part in the weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.
What are you currently reading?
I just finished a book so I’ve just decided my next book The One That Got Away by Annabel Kantaria!
Everyone has one. An ex you still think about. The one who makes you ask ‘what if’?
Fifteen years have passed since Stella and George last saw each other. But something makes Stella click ‘yes’ to the invite to her school reunion. There’s still a spark between them, and although their relationship ended badly, they begin an affair.
But once someone gets you back, sometimes they’re never going to let you go again…
The premise sounds interesting. I’ve not read anything by Annabel, but I feel like reading something a bit dark and twisted, hopefully this one won’t disappoint!
What did you recently finish reading?
The State of Grace! Yes finally this book has moved down a section – Once I got time to properly sit down with it I completely flew through it, I feel so bad that it took me so long to actually pick it up once I’d decided it was my next read. I really loved it, expect a review shortly.
I’ve also just finished Time To Win – I hadn’t fully read the blurb for this, so it wasn’t quite what I expected but still an interesting read – it’s meant to be the first in a series so I think I’ll pick up the second when it comes along. I’m taking part in the blog tour for this book next week.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m not sure! We’re running out of April and I’ve not read as much from my April TBR as I planned – I chose some books that weren’t on it to read during the SundayYAthon, can’t complain as they were some fantastic books. So I’m going to decide which of them I want to move to my May TBR, or if I’m happy for them to drop back a bit and be replaced by something new and shiny! I’m also thinking about making a bit more of an effort to read some of my books that I’ve had sitting on a shelf for a while rather than just ARCs, as much as I love them some of my books are feeling a little neglected! Hopefully by Monday I’ll have figured it out!
Let me know what you’re reading in the comments!

The One That Got Away looks good…and I can relate to having books we wait a long time to read, only to realize how wonderful they are once we start them. Thanks for sharing, and here’s MY WWW POST
