WWW Wednesday

Time for my weekly reading update as part in the weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading He Said / She Said by Erin Kelly – You can check out a few sentences from my Tuesday’s Teaser post

Who do you believe?

Book - He Said She SaidIn the hushed aftermath of a total eclipse, Laura witnesses a brutal attack.

She and her boyfriend Kit call the police, and in that moment, it is not only the victim’s life that is changed forever.

Fifteen years on, Laura and Kit live in fear.

And while Laura knows she was right to speak out, the events that follow have taught her that you can never see the whole picture: something – and someone – is always in the dark…

I started this last night, and while I’ve been distracted redesigning the blog today I’m really liking it so far. I’m only about 60 pages in so not even a quarter of the way through yet so it’s still building but I’m liking the way the story is moving between the present day and the past, I’m getting little hints and things that have happened in the present chapters and slowing working my way towards them in the past. There’s a more detailed blurb on one of the alternate editions on Goodreads. You can find it here if you’re interested.

What did you recently finish reading?

This week I’ve tried to catch up on actually writing a few reviews so I thought I hadn’t read that much – I’ve been on annual leave since Monday so when I checked Goodreads I realised I’ve read more that I thought. Since last Wednesday I finished Let The Dead Speak, The Last Thing You Said, The Inconceivable Life of Quinn and In The Eyes Of An Angel. The first two were my favourites of the week, the third just wasn’t really for me, and the last had potential but could have been better, I posted my thoughts on it this morning.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I ran a poll on Twitter yesterday to let someone else answer this question for me, so next up is The State Of Grace. I’m really looking forward to this one but I’m heading up to Dundee tomorrow to spend the rest of my annual leave with friends so I’m not sure exactly how soon I’ll get to it.

What are you currently reading? Have you read any of my choices? If so let me know what you thought of them below!

I saw it in Buzz Books and was intrigued, there’s a lot of chat about it just starting on a lot of the blogs I read as it’s getting near to release date

I found He Said/She Said really picked up for me around page 80-90. I’m over halfway through now and accidentally took much longer on my lunch break than I intended to today because I got too involved and wasn’t watching the time. Glad you’re enjoying it so far too.

Thanks for visiting my WWW post 🙂
