I’m taking part in the weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words
You just have to answer 3 simple questions
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading Don’t Stop Me Now by Colleen Coleman.
A hilarious feel good read about finding your feet when life pulls the rug out from under you.
Poppy Bloom has a Life Plan: PhD in psychology, research job at her university, and a life of domestic bliss with handsome boyfriend Gregory.
But then she finishes her PhD with no job offer, no relationship, and nowhere to live. Being unemployed and living back at her mum’s house in her vampire-themed childhood bedroom was definitely not the plan.
Poppy is back to square one and miserable, so when she runs into childhood friend Leanne she jumps at the opportunity to catch up. The chance to run into Leanne’s gorgeous brother Tom is just a bonus…
Soon Poppy’s scored an internship at a radio station, a boyfriend, and a whole netball team of friends: things are on the up.
But life has a way of tripping you up when you least expect it, and Poppy soon has to decide where her priorities lie… With new friends, a new career and a new romance, can Poppy keep everyone happy, or is everything about to tumble down around her?
A laugh-out-loud story about friendship, second chances, and new love, perfect for fans of Lindsey Kelk, Marian Keyes and Jane Costello.
This wasn’t on my TBR last week as I was only approved for it on NetGalley at the weekend, but it’s due for release in a week or so so I thought I should get it read. Not 100% sure about it currently but it’s not badly written so I’ll keep going, I’m trying to mix a little bit of lighter reading in with the slightly darker crime and thrillers I tend to read.
What did you recently finish reading?
This week has been a good reading week – slightly helped by yesterday’s 40 minute delay on getting a train home after work. Since last week I have finished The Roanoke Girls and read How To Mend A Broken Heart and Everything But The Truth. I actually enjoyed them all, Everything But The Truth was my favourite of the three, it was my Tuesday Teaser yesterday.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Still working my way through my NetGalley reads, but after two massive request binges I’ve dragged my ratio back up to 50% so it’s definitely going in the right direction! Next up on my NetGalley TBR is On The Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher, which I’ve heard mixed things about, The Lost Children by Helen Phifer and The Inconceivable Life Of Quinn by Marianna Baer.I just received a copy of Before The Fall by Noah Hawley which is due to be released as a paperback next month which sounds really good, and I’ve still got the copy of Unconventional I bought a few weeks back I really want to get to, I’ve heard so many great things about it!
What are you currently reading? Have you read any of my choices? If so let me know what you thought of them below!.

I haven’t read any of these, but I have a copy of Before the Fall too. I don’t think I’ll get to it in time for publication, so I’ll look forward to hearing what you think before I read… 🙂

I’ve been tempted by a lot of these on NG as well; I hope you will enjoy your reads this week.

Don’t Stop Me Now sounds adorable, a fun read. I didn’t understand how NetGalley worked when I first joined, so my ratio is in the pits. I’ll have to work for years to get it even near 80%, but I’m trying.

Don’t Stop Me Now really was a fun read. As I said I was a little unsure but it really grew on me! My ratio has already dropped a bit because I got approved for something I don’t even remember requesting. Was something I wanted to read so it’s all good!
