Tuesday’s Teaser – The Princess Diarist

Teaser Tuesday is a book meme I found via Google I believe it was originally hosted on Should Be Reading but I don’t think it’s still active. Still I liked the idea so I’m going to keep it going on my blog.

The rules are simple:

Tonight’s teaser comes from Carrie Fisher’s ‘sort of memoir’ The Princess Diarist which is my current read

“It was one movie. It wasn’t supposed to do what it did – nothing was supposed to do that. Nothing ever had. Movies were meant to stay on the screen, flat and large and colorful, gathering you up into their sweep of story, carrying you rollicking along to the end, then releasing you back to your unchanged life. But this movie misbehaved. It leaked out of the theatre, poured off the screen, affected a lot of people so deeply that they required endless talismans and artefacts to stay connected to it.”
