Tuesday’s Teasers – Heartless & Written In Bones

Teaser Tuesday is a book meme I found via Google I believe it was originally hosted on Should Be Reading but I don’t think it’s still active. Still I liked the idea so I’m going to keep it going on my blog.

The rules are simple:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share one or two sentences from that page
  • Avoid spoilers – Pick a sentence that doesn’t give too much away

Today I have two teasers for you! The first is from my current read Heartless by Marissa Meyer – The untold story of the girl who would become the notorious Queen of Hearts

“A striped tail curled around her right shoulder. A furry whiskered head appeared on her left. Cheshire purred thoughtfully, the sound vibrating down her spine, ‘astounding,’ he said, in that tone he had that always left Cath unsure whether he was mocking her. ‘But where’s the fish?’”

The second is from Written in Bones by James Oswald. The latest in the Inspector McLean series that is published on Thursday. You can find my review here.

“McLean followed Grumpy Bob’s gaze up to the sky, palest blue in the early morning. The call had come through before dawn, waking him on what was his first day back after three months of suspension, psych evaluation and meandering interviews with Professional Standards.”

Do either of these sound like something you’d want to read? Share a teaser from your own current read leave me a comment below!
