My first choice is from the musical Hamilton. Fantastic musical in general but one of my favourite songs is Wait For It.

I love these lines in particular because whenever I start to compare where I am in life to friends and colleagues it’s okay that I’m not married yet, or I don’t have kids or own my own house. I don’t need to compare myself to anyone or anything I’ll do it when it’s right for me.

I think my favorite song from Hamilton is Burn, but that could be partially because I can actually sing along with that one in its entirety instead of mumbling parts that I can’t quite keep up with and get the words right, lol.

I really like Burn too, and Satisfied. I had a really dull exam the other week for work, wrote about a customer being dissatisfied and spent the rest of the exam singing that in my head 🙂
