When I was younger I was an avid reader, rarely would I be seen without a book in my hand, as I got older and real life got in the way reading is a pleasure that’s slipped slightly to the wayside. Hopefully in 2017 I’ll make more of an effort to set some time aside to settle down with a good book. To help me on my way to this I’ve decided to join up to a few reading challenges for the year and this is the first.
The challenge is based around reading and reviewing books by British authors, don’t get me wrong, I’ll read pretty much anything but I do love settling down to a good book that’s set somewhere I’ve been, there’s just something a little bit more special about a character walking down a street you’ve walked down, or popping into your local coffee shop. Being based in Scotland I do love a bit of crime so expect to see some Ian Rankin, James Oswald and Val McDermid. I’m also hoping to discover something new throughout the year
The British Books Challenge 2017 is being hosted by Chelle over at Tales of Yesterday, sign up here if you’re interested in joining in too
You can find all my reviews for this challenge under the British Books Challenge 2017 tag.

Thanks Chelley, making my way through my first read though it’s been a while since I reviewed anything. That could be more of a challenge than the actual reading I suspect.
